How to Connect Medesync to InputKit

Written by Guillaume

The Medesync integration allows you to sync your appointments with InputKit to automatically trigger the sending of your sequences.

You can also configure triggers and filters to determine which appointments should result in a sending, based on the professional, location, or other information associated with the appointment.

Connect Medesync to InputKit

To add the integration:

  1. Log in to InputKit.

  2. Click your name in the top-right corner.

  3. Click “Integrations”.

  4. Click “Add an integration”.

  5. Select “Medesync”.

  6. Follow the steps displayed on the screen to complete the connection.

Once Medesync is connected, you can configure your triggers directly from the integration.

Add a trigger

A trigger determines the circumstances under which an InputKit sequence should be sent following a Medesync appointment.

To create a trigger:

  1. Open the Medesync integration.

  2. Click “Add a trigger”.

  3. Select the event that should trigger the sending.

  4. Choose the InputKit sequence to send.

  5. Add a sending delay if needed.

  6. Click “Next”.

You can then add filters to specify which appointments should be included.

Add filters to appointments

Filters allow a sequence to be triggered only when the information associated with an appointment matches the criteria you have defined.

For example, you can use appointment information such as the professional or location to create your conditions.

To add a filter:

  1. Click “Add a filter”.

  2. Select the appointment field you want to use.

  3. Choose the condition to apply.

  4. Enter the desired value.

  5. Add additional filters if needed.

  6. Save your trigger.

Example: If you want to send a sequence only to patients of a specific professional, you can create a filter using the field associated with the professional and enter their name.

Create multiple triggers

You can create multiple triggers to adapt the sequences sent to different types of appointments.

For example, you could create a separate trigger for each of your locations so that patients receive a sequence tailored to the location they visited.

When configuring multiple triggers, review the filters for each one to make sure appointments match the intended conditions.

Catch up on missed sendings from a specific date

If some sendings were missed, you can use the Medesync integration’s catch-up feature to resume sendings from a selected date.

To catch up on missed sendings:

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner.

  2. Click “Integrations”.

  3. Open the Medesync integration.

  4. Access the option to catch up on missed sendings.

  5. Select the date from which you want to resume sendings.

  6. Confirm the catch-up.

What to check before catching up on missed sendings

Before starting the catch-up, review the following:

  • Triggers: Make sure the required triggers are configured correctly.

  • Filters: Make sure the conditions match the appointments for which you want to send sequences.

  • Start date: Select the date from which you want to catch up on missed sendings.

Once the catch-up has started, you can review the list of sendings under “Feedback”, then “Sendings”, to monitor their processing.

Export an appointment list for a manual sending

If you prefer to perform a manual sending instead of using the automatic integration, you can create a custom report in Medesync to export a list of appointments.

The exported file can then be imported into InputKit to perform a mass sending.

For instructions on how to create and export the report, see the following article:

Which method should you use?

The method you choose depends on how you want to manage your sendings.

  • Automatic triggers: Automatically send sequences after Medesync appointments.

  • Filters: Determine which appointments should trigger a sequence.

  • Sending catch-up: Resume missed sendings from a selected date.

  • Manual export: Download an appointment list from Medesync and import it into InputKit for a mass sending.

If you want to automate your sendings, use the Medesync integration and configure your triggers. If you prefer to manually select the appointments to process, use a custom report export.
