InputKit Chrome Extension

Written by Guillaume

The InputKit Chrome extension allows you to automate your InputKit sendings by syncing your appointments from supported applications. It makes it possible to use InputKit with certain software that is not part of InputKit’s native integrations.

Once connected, the extension can sync new completed appointments so your sequences can be sent based on your configuration.

Install the InputKit Chrome extension

To install the extension, you must use the Google Chrome browser.

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Click the puzzle piece icon to the right of the search bar.

  3. Click “Manage extensions”.

  4. In the left menu, click the option to access the Chrome Web Store.

  5. Search for “InputKit”.

  6. Click “Add to Chrome”.

Once the extension is installed, it will be available from the puzzle piece icon to the right of the search bar.

Check if your software is supported

After installation:

  1. Open your software in a Chrome tab.

  2. Click the InputKit extension to the right of the search bar.

  3. Check if a confirmation indicates that your software session was found.

If the session is found, you will be able to connect the extension to your InputKit account.

If the session is not found, the integration with your software may not have been developed yet.

In that case, you can contact us through the InputKit chat or at [email protected] to explore the possibility of developing the integration.

Connect the extension with your InputKit API key

Once the session is found, the extension will ask you to enter your InputKit API key.

To find your API key:

  1. Log in to InputKit.

  2. Click your name in the top-right corner.

  3. Click “Integrations”.

  4. Click “API Keys”.

  5. Copy your API key.

  6. Go back to the InputKit Chrome extension.

  7. Paste the API key into the field provided.

  8. Click “Connect”.

Once the extension is connected, you will be able to view the integration status in InputKit.

Configure your sendings

After connecting the extension, you will be able to view the synced appointments in InputKit and configure the triggers needed to send your sequences.

These triggers determine when a sequence should be sent after a completed appointment.

How synchronization works

When your session is open, the extension syncs new completed appointments every 15 minutes. For synchronization to work, the session must remain accessible in Chrome with the extension installed and connected.

Good to know

If you are absent or on vacation, another person at your clinic or business should install the extension on their Chrome browser and make sure the connection remains active.

This helps maintain the synchronization of completed appointments and the automation of InputKit sendings.
