When a sequence already has submitted responses, certain elements of the questions can no longer be modified or deleted. If you attempt to edit such a sequence, you will see a message like the one shown in the screenshot, indicating that the sequence is locked because client responses are associated with it.
InputKit prevents the deletion or modification of key question components to ensure the accuracy and integrity of past results.
How to adjust questions if the sequence is locked
If you need to change or remove questions in a sequence that already has responses, the recommended approach is to duplicate the sequence and edit the new version.
This allows you to implement your changes without affecting previously collected data.
How to duplicate a sequence
Go to the Sequences section:
Click Comments in the left-hand menu, then select the Sequences tab.
Find the sequence you want to update.
Click the Duplicate button next to the sequence.
Rename the new sequence for clarity, for example:
Appointment Follow-Up – Version 2.
You can now freely edit or delete questions in the duplicated sequence.
