Reply templates help you save time when responding to customers in InputKit. They let you create reusable messages that you can quickly insert into a conversation thread or from the Responses menu.
Access reply templates
Add a template
For example, you can create a template to thank a customer, follow up after dissatisfaction, or reply to a common situation.
Edit the message with AI
To the right of the message, you can use the “AI” button to quickly adjust your text.
This can be useful to:
make the message warmer
add more detail
rephrase the text
adjust the tone of the message
Note: This feature helps you refine a template quickly without rewriting it from scratch.
Add shortcodes
You can click “Insert Shortcode” to add fields that will automatically fill in based on the context.
For example:
customer_first_name after “Hi”
signature at the end of the message
These shortcuts help personalize your replies while keeping the template reusable.
Translate the template into other languages
Once your message is ready, you can use the translation button to generate the template in the other available languages.
Use a template in a reply
You can use your templates both in the conversation thread and from the “Responses” menu.
Open the response you want to reply to.
Click the “Templates” button.
Select the template you want or use the search bar if you have several.
The message will automatically fill in with the selected template. You will then only need to send it.
Why use reply templates
Reply templates can help you:
respond more quickly to common situations
standardize your team’s communications
keep a consistent tone in your follow-ups
personalize your replies more easily with shortcodes
