How to change the time period shown on the dashboard and in reports

Written by Guillaume

This article explains how to change the time period used by the dashboard and reports.

On your InputKit dashboard, under your business name, you will see:

“Data based on the last XX days”.

This number corresponds to your account’s default reporting period.

By changing it, you update both:

  • the period used for dashboard indicators

  • the default period used in several reports

Quick access from the dashboard

  1. Go to your “Dashboard”.

  2. Under your business name, find the line “Data based on the last 60 days” (or another number) and the settings icon ⚙️ next to it.

  3. Click the ⚙️ icon.

This opens your company settings, where the reporting period setting is located.

Access settings from the main settings menu

You can also access it from the main menu:

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner.

  2. Select “Settings”.

  3. In the “Account & Company Settings” section, click “Company”.

You will land on the same company settings page as with the dashboard ⚙️ icon.

Change the default reporting period

Once you are in the company settings:

  1. Click “Edit” in the top-right corner of the page.

  2. Scroll down to the field “Default report period (days)”.

  3. Enter the number of days you want, for example:

30 days: a recent view, useful for monthly monitoring

    60 days: a balanced short-to-mid-term view

    90 days: a quarterly view

If you want to see all data since implementation, you can enter a very high value (for example, 9999).

  4. Click "Save changes"

After that:

  • the text under your business name on the dashboard updates (for example, 30 instead of 60 days)

  • your default indicators and reports use the new period

Best practices

  • Choose a period that matches how you review results (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, etc.).

  • Use the same period when comparing trends over time (for example, always 60 days) to keep analysis consistent.

  • For one-off analysis over a different period, adjust the filters directly in certain reports without changing the company default period.
