How to display custom fields in response details

Written by Guillaume

Custom fields can be displayed in a response’s details to add useful information about the customer or their file. For example, you can display an invoice number, a customer file number, or any other custom information sent to InputKit.

This information can also appear in email notifications related to responses, if they are enabled.

Where custom fields can appear

When you view a response to a sequence, you can see response details such as:

  • customer information

  • sending date

  • sending method

  • information related to the sending

Enabled custom fields can also be included in email notifications, for example:

  • when a new response is submitted for a sequence

  • when a dissatisfied customer notification is sent

Enable a custom field in response details

To display a custom field in response details:

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner.

  2. Click “Settings”.

  3. Scroll down to “Custom Fields”.

  4. Find the custom field you want to display.

  5. Check the “Display in response detail” option.

Once the option is enabled, the custom field can appear in the relevant response details.

Examples of use

You can use this option to display information such as:

  • an invoice number

  • a customer file number

  • an internal identifier

  • an appointment reference

  • any other information useful for following up on responses

Good to know

Custom fields displayed in response details can help your team better understand the context of a response without having to check another system.

Note: For a custom field to appear, the information must be available in the data associated with the sending or the customer.
